SOR’s

The recent changes to SOR’s have caused some confusion and many questions have been raised. You came to us with your issues which we took to management for answers on your behalf.

We asked for a clearer explanation of why you’re being asked to input work slightly differently and were told this is to reflect the actual cost per job/repair. We asked for a more comprehensive list of SOR’s to enable every operative to select the most accurate SOR’s for the work carried out.

Some of our members told us that the list of SOR’s weren’t very clear and the print was difficult to read.

We explained that many operatives are concerned that using different SOR’s may affect productivity especially when working in two’s. We were assured that no one’s productivity is in question and in fact productivity across the business is good.

We asked if SOR’s would be created to allow for time collecting gear from Travis Perkins and other down time. Management advised us that this was not needed as SOR’s are for claiming for the job being done not to account for time throughout the day.

Throughout the next few weeks Steph Lawler will be visiting Toolbox Talks to pick up any issues you have relating to SOR’s. We are also happy to raise any issues on your behalf.
